Altar Society
The St. Agnes Altar Society is an organization of dedicated parishioners whose primary mission is to maintain the altar, sanctuary, and beautiful parish church. This goal is accomplished in a variety of ways:
laundering the linens used at Mass
repairing & replacing linens and altar cloths
caring for the vessels & candlesticks
arranging flowers weekly
cleaning the church monthly
decorating for the liturgical seasons & feasts
In addition to these works of service, they are also frequently found in the cafeteria serving up meals and preparing receptions for special Masses and other parish events. They are truly indispensable!
Consider Getting Involved
Feel free to “come and see” a few times to determine if you would like to join us regularly:
Monthly Meeting: 3rd Monday of the month at 9:15 am
Monthly Church Cleaning: Friday following the monthly meeting 9:00 am
Decorating the church for Christmas and Easter as announced
Women and men are both welcome. Inactive Members participate in the ministry with their prayers and dues, while Active Members participate in these means together with the corporal work noted above. Both Active and Inactive Members enjoy the spiritual benefits of the prayers of the Society. Dues are $20 for one member and $5 for each additional family member. Dues are used for the work of the Society; donations are also welcome anytime.
