Funerals

“The Holy Women at the Tomb of Christ” by William-Adolphe Bougereau, 1890.

A funeral is a sacred celebration, even as it is filled with sorrow and grief. The death of a loved one brings with it many questions, decisions, responsibilities, and burdens. It is our desire to help those experiencing the pain of loss to honor their loved one fittingly and to do so in a way that is not overly burdensome to the family.

  • If your loved one has just passed, we share in your grief and assure you of our prayers. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs in this difficult time and in the days to come. Please call the parish office so that we can assist you in the planning of the funeral details.

  • If your loved one is nearing death, please notify the parish staff immediately so that the Anointing of the Sick and/or Last Rites can be celebrated with your loved one and so that we can assist you and your family in this difficult time by presence and prayer.

  • If you would like to pre-plan funeral liturgy details so as to make it easier further down the line, you are welcome to make an appointment with the pastor to do so.
