The calendar is designed for our normal gathering at St. Agnes. However as long as we are using the virtual classroom format it will be amended as needed by communications from the office. As the events unfold of the coming year we will adjust our methods and meetings to accommodate whatever circumstance we face. It is quite possible that we may be able, as social distancing requirements are reduced, to use a hybrid of virtual classroom with voluntary social activities such as seminars, retreats, and pilgrimage visits to build the faith of our students. I mention this because we really don’t know the exact nature of the challenges we will face, but we fully intend to treat our difficult times as an opportunity to embrace new strategies to form our youth in the faith and aid God’s call for their life.

* Our textbooks and supplies are provided through your generous donation to our program. Our once a year collection will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 26th & 27th at all Masses. The entire program is funded by this Annual Religious Education Collection. Books are provided for your child(ren) to use during the school year. We kindly ask you to cover the books to prevent damage and at the end of the year return them, in order, for us to use them the following year.
The Church teaches that parents are the first instructors of the faith to their child. Our PSR Program is here to help you achieve that obligation. It is a very significant privilege with which God has honored you and the Church. It is important for your child to attend PSR classes from Kindergarten through the Eleventh Grade. I recommend and encourage not skipping any class years. We are here to support you in nurturing the Catholic Faith. If your child is attending an approved (by the Baton Rouge Diocese) Catholic Elementary or High School, then in order to receive the sacraments your child must be attending a two year prep course for that particular sacrament. Any questions should be directed to our Religious Education Office 225-338-1511.
