In the United States, the following solemnities remain holy days of obligation: Mary, the Mother of God (Jan. 1st), Assumption of Mary (August 15th), all Saints (Nov.1st), Immaculate Conception ( Dec. 8th), and Christmas ( Dec. 25th). However, when January 1st, August 15th or November 1st, falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the obligation to attend Mass is overturned.
Let Us Pray
“Most blessed are you among woman, and blessed is the fruit of your womb… Blessed are you who believed that was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.
Father in Heaven, all creation rightly gives You praise, for all life and all holiness comes from You. May we follow Mary’s example reflecting Your holiness.”
